"Spanner in the temporal works"

Films: A Sound of Thunder (2005)

Alias: Allosaurus, man-eating beetles, baboon lizards, giant bats, giant lungfish, evolved human

Type: Ancient (Allosaurus), Mutant (the rest)

Location: Jungle/Civilized Area/Forest

Height/Weight: Ranges from that of goliath beetles to twice that of an elephant.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: To those who have wanted to hunt dinosaurs all their lives...go and play "Turok" instead. Indeed, time travel is perhaps one of the worst things we could invest our time in. There are just so many rules to not screwing up the present. And when the rules are broken...

History: The year is 2055, and all of Earth's megafauna has been rendered extinct with mankind's excessive growth. Seeking the thrill of the hunt once more, we have created Time Safari, a getaway for rich folk to go hunt dinosaurs about to die anyway. Then one day, a guy steps off the path and onto a moth. This causes "time waves" to appear in the present, evolving many of Earth's lifeforms into mostly vicious unlikely predators. Some folks will have to literally race against time in order to undo the natural anarchy all around them.

Notable Kills: A bunch of baboon lizards take some time before they descend upon a guy in the middle of a hallucinogenic flight of fancy.

Final Fate: One guy manages to use the time machine again before the next time wave turns humans into catfish-looking things. He prevents the incident, and uses evidence to knock Time Safari down for how unethical it really is.

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-The effects could be a LITTLE better, but how many times can you hear "baboon lizard" and find that those named that are actually quite terrifying? Sure, that lungfish is freaky with how unexpected it is, but almost every one of the aberrations created by the time waves deserves some credit.

Trivia: -This film was based on a famous short story of the same name by Ray Bradbury, though it only has the dinosaur encounter in it.

-This film's original director was Renny Harlin, but due to a disagreement with Bradbury himself, he was fired and replaced by Peter Hyams, the same director of "2010: The Year We Make Contact" and "The Relic".

Tell that to the Avengers.

This skull is where it all went wrong...as well as human ignorance.

This normal day is going to become quite...interesting for him soon.

So much for the chimpanzees.
I'm getting the feeling this was a bad idea.

Mankind fall. Go boom.

"WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE?!"

Do a magic trick! It impresses them rather well!
Behold the first Timenami!

This alien invasion is getting one heck of a twist.

"Hi, new neighbor!"

Surely, you should let the oxygen levels do the work!

When you're so close and also very dead.
Mothra...you were the mastermind?!

"Why am I even in this film?"

Dungeons and Dragons just became even more unpopular.

Mavis Dracula, NO!

You know what? Destroy Time Travel. All of it.
